Ted Turner decided to make a movie from the book "Killer Angels" written by Michael Shaara.  I had the privilege along with thousands of other Reenactors to appear in the film.  This film was the first time of actually experiencing the presence of spirits on the battle field.  It was on the set of Pickett's Charge and my part was to march in Armistead's Brigade (Armistead was played by Richard Jordan), unfortunately we found out that he passed away a short time after the filming, we were marching with fixed bayonets with our muskets at right shoulder shift, just like the the soldiers did then, our elbows were touching to keep the lines straight.

The Confederate Artillery had just completed firing and now it was our turn,  we were moving as best as we could through the Confederate cannons, the artillery soldiers were waving their hats and cheering us on slowly we moved forward. It was an awesome feeling we felt, the smoke from the cannons was still in the air the smoke made it difficult to see a short distance in front of us, the sound of our cannons was still ringing in our ears.  Yankee artillery was firing independently as the cannon balls were whistling over our heads, very faintly to our left in the rear I heard cheering and yelling, we were half way through our artillery pieces, out of curiosity I turned to see where this ruckus was coming from.

To my surprise there was another artillery piece all by itself the men were leaning on barrel of the cannon and resting their feet on the spokes of the wheels and waving their hats cheering us on.  I knew this was wrong because they were supposed to be up here with the rest of the cannons, I looked to the fella next to me and said "Hey look back there why are those guys there, they should be up here with the rest of the artillery pieces". We both looked back, I couldn't believe it the cannon and the men were gone. The fella next to me said, "I don't see or hear anything". A chill ran down my spine, oh my god what did I see and hear.

This was my personal experience with spirits and haunting, and what amazed me was that it was during the day time hours.   Other experiences were reported, one by the film crew when they film the scene they also take video this way the director can replay the video and decide if it's a take or not.  On the field there were two lines of men, but when the Video was played back there was an additional line, three lines of men were captured.  The film was sent off after processing to be analyzed.
