The
Virginia Infantry
are a New Jersey based Confederate Reenacting group, consisting of American History
loving Men, Women and Children. Each member coming from a unique
occupational work force.
As a group we wish to express our
respect and admiration to those thousands of men and women who
fought brother against brother......the North fighting to preserve
the "Union" and the South fighting for their "Rights".
Our purpose, to educate the public, to show through a living history
the life styles of the 19th Century........."that from these honored
dead we take increased devotion to that cause for which they gave
the last full measure of devotion" (Gettysburg Address).

The
Virginia Infantry Ghost Hunters
purpose when we go on the battlefield is not to mock or criticize or
make fun in any way those brave men and women, but to show respect to
those lost souls still remaining there. Their courage and devotion
alone show us that their dedications has earned a place of honor in each
of our hearts.
We are not looking to glorify our
experiences, or to put those lost spirits on display but to whenever the
occasion arises to help them travel to the other side, aiding them with
the help of a local psychic put their spirits at rest.
We understand that Gettysburg is the
most spiritually active location in the United States. Many
countless spirits are roaming the Battlefields day and night aimlessly
for one reason or another. WHY? We don't know, one of our
objectives as a group is to find out why and help them when we can.
Excessive Spiritual activity is
evident at Gettysburg by the numerous photographs posted here on this
site.......As Orbs. Although by other groups these so called Orbs
may be termed as dust, though the shape of dust is irregular and the
movement is erratic this is not so with Orbs they are usually perfect
circles with a center composition and travel with a controlled movement.
With popular belief spirits draw
energy from where ever it can, to further prove this many of our visits
were when it was either raining or snowing. It is not difficult to
know which is rain or snow by the trails photographed by Orbs moving
upward. May I repeat moving upward, rain and snow do not move
upward and there is no dust when it's raining or snowing. To get a
fuller definition of what Orbs are is described below.
WHAT ARE EVPS?
EVP:
Electronic Voice Phenomena are electronically
captured sounds that resemble speech, but are not
the result of intentional voice recordings.
Not usually heard without the aid of some type of
Recording Device. Common
sources include static, stray radio transmissions
and background noise.
Some people claim these sounds
are of
paranormal origin, while there are natural
explanations such as
apophenia (finding significance in insignificant
phenomena), auditory
pareidolia (interpreting random sounds as voices
in their own language), equipment artifacts, or
simple hoaxes. Recordings of electronic voice
phenomena are often created from background sound by
increasing the gain (i.e. sensitivity) of the
recording equipment.
In simple terms, EVPs: Are
Spirits speaking within White Noise.
A sphere or spherical object of light, a ball of
energy, though rarely visible to the naked eye, usually in a
circular form, appears in photographs either digital or on film.
The most
popular theoryproposes
orbs are a form
of energy that is used by
ghosts in order to show themselves.
Orbs sometimes appear to be in
motion, leaving a trail behind them.
Apparent in variable size, most often they appear in shades of
white; however, on rare occasions they may take on different colors.
WHO DETERMINED WHAT
THE COLORS MEAN?
Although the suggested meanings are a
compiled consensus of several different color interpretations.
Although accurate, additional research is needed to verify their
meanings, and it must be noted that each is open to individual
interpretation.
